Louise Davis

When Louise was applying for university, she couldn’t decide whether to study chemical engineering or
languages. Eventually, she plumped for a BA in Modern Languages at the University of Sheffield, with a
focus on linguistics and real-world language use, followed by an MA in Conference Interpreting and
Translation Studies at the University of Leeds. She maintained her interest in science on the side,
leading to a career in interpreting and translation for the pharmaceutical, medical, medical tech, and
green tech industries.

Outside of work, Louise runs Now There’s a THOUGHT, a project aiming to help people find joy in
thinking about faith in new ways, often using science as a springboard. She also hosts the project’s
podcast, A Podcast Host, a Pastor, and a Guest Walk into a Bar.

Louise is an active member of St John’s and St Peter’s Church in Ladywood, Birmingham.
